Cycling can without a doubt be a great pleasure. The easygoing sense of freedom which a cycling holiday can provide has created an entire travel culture of its own. Greece has a longstanding tradition in cycling.
The history of cycling began for Greece in the 19th century. Indeed, in the first modern Olympics which were held in 1896 in Athens, the Greek cyclist Aristidis Konstantinidis won the gold medal in the road bicycle race.
The routes which can be enjoyed by bicycle in Greece are among the best in the world. Some are very demanding because of the hilly terrain, others are less strenuous, but nevertheless beautiful. Cyclists, in the spirit of competition or simply with a desire to explore, will find that Greece has wonderful countryside in which to pursue their favourite sport.
Arrival in Athens and transfer to Evritania region. Lunch stop on the way at Makrakomi city. In the evening will do the first bike route of the trip. We ll start for Velouchi mountain all the way to our hotel.

Star the day from our hotel. Bike to Clafsi and Megalo Chorio Villages. Visit Megalo Chorio. Pik Nik lunch at the river of Trikeriotis. Will bike till the Monastery of Proussos. Visit the Monastery of Proussos. Optional we can continue to do the circle of Prossos and finish our day at the Trikeriotis river.
30 km, Ascent 750 m
In the morning we ll have a sort transfer till the village of Fraggista. From Fraggista we ll start the biking to Agrafa village. On the way to Agrafa we ll pass from Kerasochori and Kredis villages, and will bike along the Agrafiotis river. Nice biking with nice views of the river and the peaks of Agrafa. At the noon we ll arrive at Agrafa village. Relaxing evening. Dinner on a nice tavern out of the village
38 km, Ascent 1080 m
The hardest but the most impressive day of the tour. The passing of Niala pass is a challenge for all of as. Optional is to start in the morning from our hotel at Agrafa Village (990 m) and climb all the way up to Niala pass (1650 m). After Niala pass we ll bike on a alpine scenery with nice views of the peaks of Agrafa range. We ll pass from the dam of Plastira lake and at the evening will finish our day at our hotel at the Plastira lake

41 km, Ascent 1030 m (Route Niala pass – Plastira lake)

After the hard bike at Agrafa range an easier day is in front of as. We start the day be biking along the Plastira lake with nice vies of the clean lake and the peaks of Agrafa on the top. We ll pass from an old water mill, and we ll drink our coffee at the traditional village of Kerasia. Lunch stop at Pefkofito village. And of the bike day at Mouzaki village. Transfer to Pertouli area.
11 km, Ascent 660 m
Impressive biking today … we ll bike through the forest of koziakas mountain at an old of road that it has many years to used. Will pass from Glikomolia village and our lunch stop will be at the village of Kria Vrisi. Optional to visit a winery at Diava Village. After lunch we ll bike till the area of Meteora and Kastraki Village.
Dinner with live Greek music (bouzouki and guitar)
37.5 km, Ascent 400 m
O/N at Kastraki
Today we ll bike around the clifs of Meteora. We ll start the day from our hotel and we ll bike all the way up till the most interested and impressive monastery, the monastery of Great Meteoro, On the way will stop for pictures.
At the midday we ll start driving all the way south to Athens. Lunch stop at kamena Vourla (the small village on the coast). End of tour
