The Orliakas is a mountain, a natural refuge for brown bears and belongs to the network Natura 2000. Due to its location and little light pollution is an ideal spot to hike observing meteors showers.
We will meet in the village Ziakas at 10:30. All together we take our private vihicles for about 15 minutes we drive to the hiking starting point. At 11:00 we begin our adventure that ends in the camps of Ziakas approximately in two hours. During the hiking we will be able to observe the phenomenon of raining meteors Perseides / Aquariids.

Coming from Grevena: We take the road to the national ski center and we follow signs for the village Mavranei. From there we continue straight for the village Ziakas. After the village we will find a sign for Spileo village at our left. We continue until we reach village square.
Coming from Kalampaka (Meteora): We take the road to Ioannina. After 10 km at the road junction we turn right to Grevena. We keep following signs to Grevena. At 65m (counting from Kalampaka) we enter Egnatia highway with direction to Ioannina and we exit on the next junction where we follow the road to the national ski center, we pass through the village Mavranei, we continue straight for the village Ziakas. After the village we will find a sign for Spileo village at our left. We continue until we reach village square.
