Pristine coastlines with secluded bays and endless sandy beaches, natural harbors guarded by medieval castles, remote islets with a wealth of flora and fauna, A lagoon key stopover in the flyway of migratory birds, lush olive groves and vineyards, sweeping vistas and stunning panoramas to probably the most impressive wetland in Greece.
Get any flight arriving to Kalamata or Athens. Meet your guide in Kalamata airport for a drive to your hotel. Settle into a cozy hotel and enjoy a welcome meze with ouzo overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Your guide will make a briefing for what is going to be followed the next two days.
Meet your guide at 09:00 at your hotel’s lobby. Your kayaks are already in the beach waiting for you. Adjust the kayaks to your measures and you are ready for departure. Exploring a pristine coastline you may have the chance to meet a see turtle. Our route brings us to the famous beach of Voidokoilia, maybe the most impressive beach in Greece. We spend time in swimming and snorkeling and why not take the advantage for hike to the medieval castle standing over the beach. The view from up there is simply incredible. On the way back we visit a lagoon with migratory birds which may have the opportunity to observe. We continue paddling until the remote island of Sfaktiria where we set up our campsite. Enjoy the fall of night by cooking traditional Greek recipes, having wine and sharing the moments of the day under the star dome.
Wake up in a Mediterranean paradise and take time to enjoy a Greek Breakfast. We get to the kayaks paddling along the island's impressive coastline heading south until the imposing monolith of the Fanari islet. An impressive stone arch is revealed and a number of sea caves are waiting for you to explore them. Enjoy swimming, cliff jumping and snorkeling in the turquoise waters of an isolated beach. Finish the day at noontime paddling to the picturesque fishing village of Pylos and transfer back to Kalamata for a flight back home.
